                               Taco Mac Salad

    1 1/2  cups          spiral or shell macaroni
    1      pound         hamburger
    1      package       taco seasoning mix
      1/2  cup           Green pepper -- chopped
      1/2  cup           onion -- chopped
      1/2  cup           French dressing
    1      cup           cheddar cheese -- shredded
    1                    tomato -- chopped
      1/2  head          lettuce -- chopped
    5 1/2  ounces        tortilla chips
 
 Cook macaroni as directed on the package.  Drain and rinse with cold water.  Br
 own meat and drain off fat.  Add taco seasoning and mix well.  Cool.  In a larg
 e bowl, mix macaroni, green peppers, onion, cheese, tomatoes, salt and pepper. 
  Chill.  Just before serving, stir in ground beef, dressing and chips.  Toss li
 ghtly, add lettuce.
