* Exported from MasterCook * South Sea Salad Recipe By : Newspaper Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Salads And Dressings Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 c mayonnaise or salad dressing 1/2 c dairy sour cream 1/4 c pickle juice 1/2 peeled avacado -- seeded & mashed 1 tbsp snipped parsley 2 tsp snipped chives 1 tsp dried dillweed 1 bunch red tipped lettuce -torn -- (6 cups) 1 11 oz can mandarin orange sections -- chilled & drained 1 c fresh mushrooms -- sliced 1 sm onion, sliced -- separated into rings 1 green pepper -- sliced into rings 1/2 avacado, peeled -- seeded and sliced DRESSING: Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, dill pickle juice, mashed avacado, p arsley, chives, and dillweed. Cover and refrigerate. Place lettuce in large salad bowl. Arrange mandarin orange slices, mushrooms, onion and green pepper and avacado attractively atop lettuce.
