    0.50 c  Onion, sliced paper thin
    0.33 c  Vinegar

    0.25 ts Salt
    1.00 ds Pepper
   15.00 ts Sugar
  
   Layer cucumber and onion in a jar or bowl. Combine remaining ingredients
   and pour over vegetables. Chill overnight, turning jar or stirring several
