       Yield: 1 Cake
 
 
    1 lb flour                  
  3    eggs
   4 oz lard                         
             pinch nutmeg
   4 oz butter                   
              milk
   2 ts baking powder       
     7 oz sugar
         8 oz currants
 
   TEISEN LAP
   Rub the fat into the flour and add the other dry
   ingredients.  Beat the eggs well and add to the
   mixture. Add enough milk to keep the mixture soft.
   Place in a shallow, greased and floured tin and bake
   in a moderate oven (350/F. or Mark 4) for 20
   minutes and then lower to 275/F. or Mark 3 for
        40    minutes.
