* Exported from MasterCook * Queso Fresco Tacos with Tomatillo Salsa Recipe By : Cacique USA Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 12 ounces Cacique Brand Queso Fresco 1 1/2 pounds tomatillos 2 large yellow onions -- finely chopped 2 tablespoons garlic -- minced 1/4 cup lime juice 4 teaspoons dried oregano 4 serrano peppers -- chopped --veined and seeded to your desired heat --level 1 cup cilantro -- chopped salt and pepper -- to taste corn tortillas To make the Tomatillo salsa, peel the husks of the tomatillos and dice. Mix with onions, garlic, lime juice, oregano, chilies, cilantro, and salt and pepper to taste. Serranos vary in heat, so add accordingly. Cut the Queso Fresco into ½" pieces and place in warm tortilla.
