                              Laka’s Meatballs

   Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

                         MEATBALLS
    1      lb            ground beef
      1/2  cup           peanuts -- shelled, toasted and
                         ground
      1/2  envelope      cream of onion soup
    1      teaspoon      grated ginger root
      1/2                onion -- chopped
           pinch         nutmeg
           pinch         cinnamon
                         ground black pepper
    1      clove         garlic -- minced
                         salt -- to taste
                         oil -- for frying
                         SAUCE
    1      cup           beef stock
    1      tablespoon    cornstarch
                         juice of 1 orange
    1      teaspoon      grated fresh ginger
                         salt and pepper -- to taste
 
 Meatballs:
 Mix all together.Check salt.Cook in oil.
 
 Sauce:
 
 Blend orange juice and starch. Stir into boiling stock along with ginger,
 season with salt and pepper. Stir over heat until it thickens a little.
 Serve over meat balls.
