1/4 C. butter
 1/2 C. sugar
 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
 1/2 tsp. cloves
 1/4 tsp. salt
 1 C. corn syrup
 3 eggs
 1 C. quick-cooking rolled oats
 1 unbaked 8 or 9-inch pastry shell
 Cream butter and sugar.  Add cinnamon, cloves and salt; stir in corn 
 syrup.  Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.  
 Stir in rolled oats and pour into pie shell.  Bake at 350 degrees F. 
 for about 1 hour, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.  
 If desired, filling maybe used for tarts.
